  Summary:
The Cardinal String Project is a small group of string players who rehearse after school to play alternative styles of string music - fiddle tunes to rock, jazz to pop with a dose of holiday music in December. This group performs in the community and throughout the district on request. They have played for Santa Claus, ladies luncheons, assemblies, business partners and faculty/staff events. They have an annual presence at The Farbach-Werner Nature Center holiday music series.
The students in this group represent the two orchestras at Colerain High School.

The purpose is to support the winter guard program. The program builds and prepares students skills in choreography to be able to compete as a unit in color guard competitions. The group will be purchasing uniforms, a tarp to perform on, flags, and props to use in the performance. This will also allow us to pay parent drivers, as well as for fees allowing the group to perform at competitions. Money will be made by student fees, a family show including fundraising such as dinners, shirts, etc. This will also support the entire winter guard program.

The purpose is to support the winter percussion program. The Winter Percussion program focuses on developing the technical percussion skills of students to be able to perform individually as well as a group in competitions. The group will be purchasing uniforms, a tarp to perform on, sticks and heads for the instruments. This will also allow us to pay parent drivers, as well as for fees for the group to perform at competitions. Money will be made by student fees, a family show including fundraising and a dinner that evening. We plan to sell the previously used tarp and uniforms as well.

Ohio Revised Code Section 5705.41(D) states in part that no subdivision shall make any contract or give any order involving the expenditure of money unless there is attached thereto a certificate by the Treasurer.
